With sky-high ceilings and glittery views of the Burj Khalifa, Chic Nonna runs two-floors-tall, and is reminiscent of a masculine mansion with benefits. Curated corners are laden with books, alongside forest-green walls adorned with paintings in ornate frames that set the mood for cosy encounters and private patrons.
Upstairs, the sumptuous osteria houses Salotto By Chic Nonna Dubai, a late-night living room that is the best-kept secret in the city. Take the elevator all the way up where a marble bar awaits, along with a piccolo dining area if you are feeling peckish before (or after) partying.
Book a table for a fashionably festive lunch or dinner in the main downstairs dining room. Bustling with white-shirt wearing waiters dutifully doing their back-and-forth to the open kitchen. The holiday-inspired à-la-carte menu features Florentine classics including the restaurants renowned Tortellini in Brodo, 12-hour slow-cooked Spalla di Agnello, and the traditional Panettone served with decadent chocolate and vanilla sauces – making for a very happy ending. Side note, you can also purchase freshly made pasta, panettone and chocolates if you want to savour the Chic Nonna taste in 2025 and beyond. The fine fare also doubles as incredibly swanky stocking stuffers for your epicurean friends.
New Year’s Eve also promises to dazzle, as the venue will transform itself into a vintage circus for the evening. Guests are invited to sip, muse and feed on the best Italian food in the city, while being entertained by acrobats, illusionists, live music and sparkly views of the Burj Khalifa on her most-watched night of the year. The party starts at 8pm and is Dhs2,000 per person.
