Christian Louboutin Opens the Doors to His Reimagined Abu Dhabi Boutique
The occasion was marked with the designer himself in attendance, a Hollywood Capsule prelaunch and the first RED CLUB Abu Dhabi Edition
From Zendaya making Christian Louboutin’s So Kate pumps her red carpet staple to Carrie Bradshaw striding back onto our screens in a white Halston dress and glittering Louboutins, the brand’s red sole only keeps adding to its iconic status.
Recently, the French fashion house, in partnership with the Abu Dhabi Investment Office, unveiled a reimagined Le Voilier sur le Nil boutique in the UAE capital at The Galleria Al Maryah Island.
The evening marked what the maison positioned as a defining cultural moment for Abu Dhabi. The opening at The Galleria was marked by a visit from Christian Louboutin himself, giving clients and friends of the house a rare, up close encounter with one of fashion’s most influential visionaries today.

To honour the reopening, Christian Louboutin also introduced the Hollywood Capsule collection, conceived as a tribute to the fashion house’s long relationship with red carpet dressing. The line was presented as a worldwide prelaunch, a two-week exclusive for Abu Dhabi, before reaching anywhere else. The pieces brought together the designer’s signature silhouettes with details that exude cinematic glamour, which the house’s shoes have carried for years.
As part of the celebrations, the RED CLUB Abu Dhabi Edition was also held. The event was a special tribute to the region’s loyal clientele and its increasingly confident cultural scene. Landing in the capital in the same season as Abu Dhabi Art 2025, the anticipated opening of the Zayed National Museum and NOMAD Art Circle’s first exhibition, it was part of the cultural line-up the city is bringing this season. Designed to bring together the region’s creative circles, RED CLUB in Abu Dhabi underlined Christian Louboutin’s growing dialogue with the arts and his long-held appreciation for craftsmanship and the region’s appreciation for culture.

Through its collaboration with the Abu Dhabi Investment Office, the brand also aligned itself with the emirate’s broader ambitions. ADIO, the government entity that champions investment and innovation in the capital, has been working to support a new wave of high end retail, hospitality and cultural experiences. The partnership with Christian Louboutin reflected a shared belief in Abu Dhabi’s luxury positioning and spoke to international audiences drawn to the city’s dynamism and ambition. As Noora Al Foulathi, Head of Abu Dhabi Retail, observes: “The reimagined boutique at The Galleria Al Maryah Island offers a distinctive experience for our community. With the Maison bringing RED CLUB Abu Dhabi Edition to the emirate during NOMAD Abu Dhabi, we’re seeing a moment where the city’s cultural energy is coming into full view.”
It is easy to forget that the Christian Louboutin story began in a small Parisian space in the early nineties, centred on a women’s shoe collection distinguished by red lacquer on the sole. Since then, the house has expanded to include men’s collections, leather goods and beauty, with more than 150 points of sale worldwide.
For the women in the region who recognise a So Kate just by its silhouette or who still remember the first time they saw a red sole on screen, Abu Dhabi’s reimagined Christian Louboutin location is going to be a must-visit during a shopping spree.
