Cosentino Tom Dixon AXIS Milan Design Week 2026: Inside the Installation
Cosentino and Tom Dixon transformed Casa Manzoni into one of the most talked about installations of Milan Design Week 2026
Milan Design Week raises the bar every year and FuoriSalone 2026 was no exception. Among its most talked-about moments was AXIS, an installation conceived by Cosentino in collaboration with British designer Tom Dixon. Presented inside Casa Manzoni, a neoclassical landmark on Via Gerolamo Morone in the heart of Milan, the building’s character and history made it the perfect setting for the new-gen design icons introduced inside.
AXIS was built around one central idea, where structure meets surface and how geometry gives shape to matter. Across five distinct spaces, the installation took visitors through changing materials, textures and atmospheres. Each room revealed something different, moving between sculptural table landscapes, immersive sensory environments and architectural surface applications.

The experience began in The Sanctuary, where illuminated architectural totems and integrated ĒCLOS surfaces created a calm and considered introduction. Next came The Dining Room, where the AXIS table collection sat within a sculptural landscape of wood and aluminium, lit by Tom Dixon’s POSE portables. The Sound Bath followed, transforming surface into atmosphere through sculptural ĒCLOS bathroom pieces and Chrome MELT surface lights.
The Reflection Gallery then explored the collection’s geometry through mirrored installations and modular forms. Finally, The Forum brought people together for AXISTALKS, a curated series of conversations with internationally renowned designers including Michael Anastassiades, Sabine Marcelis and Jaime Hayon.
The AXIS table collection made its global debut here. Tom Dixon designed the pieces around bold cross-leg geometries and precise structural engineering, developed in collaboration with furniture manufacturer ACTIU. The result is sculptural, functional and unmistakably architectural.

Alongside the collection, AXIS also introduced ĒCLOS, Cosentino’s new mineral surface developed with INLAYR technology. It combines advanced robotic engineering with integrated decoration to create a fully integrated 3D body design with real depth and natural tactile quality. It contains zero crystalline silica and includes more than 50 percent recycled content, reaching close to 90 percent in certain colours. With thermal resistance up to 220°C, it proves that sustainability and beautiful design can exist in the same conversation.

Also unveiled was Dekton Artik Nodes, a new addition to Cosentino’s ultra-compact surface range. Inspired by the geometry of Arctic ice, it creates a layered effect where tones and textures seem to emerge from within the material itself.
