Romain is a film director who has worked on projects internationally alongside various A-list celebrities. He has also directed multiple music videos including “No Church in the Wild” by Jay-Z and Kanye West and was an executive producer for “Nothing Breaks Like a Hear” by Mark Ronson featuring Miley Cyrus. His most recent film in 2022 Athena can currently be streamed on Netflix as well.
He is 14 years older than Dua Lipa
There is quite an age gap between the new official couple, but age is nothing but a number after all. Romain was born in Paris, France in 1981 on July 4, he is 41 years old, which makes him 14 years older than the 27-year-old singer.
His father was also a film director
His father is Konstantinos Gavras, also known as Costa-Gavras, and he is a well-known Greek-French screenwriter, producer, and film director who has been nominated for and won many awards due to his various successful films. The passion for film-making surely seems to run in Romain’s family.
He has previously dated another celebrity
The French filmmaker previously dated Rita Ora, another famous British singer, back in 2019. But after a few months of dating, the couple confirmed their split in 2021, according to the DailyMail.

Romain is not the only talented Gavras kid who followed in his father’s footsteps, he has two other siblings who are also in the film-making industry. His brother Alexandre Gavras is a film producer and his sister Julie Gavras is a film director and screenwriter.
