Sheikh Hamdan Holds Meeting With Officials Regarding Record-Breaking Rain
The Dubai royal expressed his confidence in the city’s ability to cope with the issues caused by the recent storm
As the UAE enters a phase of recovery from an intense thunderstorm that lashed the country on April 16, Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Executive Council, has instructed government entities to implement a plan to manage weather-related issues.
Sheikh Hamdan posted on social media that he issued the directives during a meeting with officials from Dubai government departments on Thursday.

Expressing confidence in Dubai’s ability to deal with the unstable weather conditions, he posted on social media: “We are confident that Dubai will make the most of this experience, and that the safety of every citizen, resident and visitor will remain our top priority.”
“Dubai’s resilience grows with every challenge, ensuring we continuously adapt, improve, and progress for the sake of our people’s safety,” he added in the post.
