Inspiring panel discussion on women’s empowerment and breaking the bias

Doha Festival City, Qatar’s top destination for shopping, dining, and entertainment, celebrated International Women’s Day together with Harper’s Bazaar Qatar. At L’ETO Cafe, private panel discussions with successful female representatives from around the world were held. Women from various fields, such as business, arts, sports and beauty, came together in honor of International Women’s Day to discuss women’s empowerment and achievements.

Moderated by Bianca Brigitte Bonomi, Publisher, Harper’s Bazaar Qatar, the panel discussion featured speakers such as IT Engineer and Qatar’s Art Ambassador Muna Al-Bader, Entrepreneur and Animation Director/Producer, Aisha Al-Jaidah and Student, Entrepreneur and Creative Director of Venus Karma Valeria Mazzei.

“This is a day dedicated to celebrating women’s achievements in various social, economic, and cultural fields. We reflect on gender discrimination and obstacles that hinder women from fulfilling their potential. This year’s theme is empowering women and breaking the bias, and we are lucky to live in this time and place where women are encouraged to be active members in society and the economy,” said Nehal Maher, senior marketing manager at Doha Festival City.

Launched last year, the Doha Festival City Ladies Club membership programme gives members special offers at many cafés, shops, and restaurants. Guests were also treated with a giveaway bags from Harvey Nichols Doha and Charlotte Tilbury, and free access to Virtuocity. (To join the club, click here.)
