Why Energetic Intelligence Is The Latest Buzz Word For Female CEOs
“Intuition is not the opposite of intelligence; it is the evolution of it,” says wellness entrepreneur, Jody Shield
As someone who constantly questions herself – her thoughts, her decisions, and her instincts – trusting my intuition has never come naturally. I’ve always seen it as something elusive; a murmur quiet enough to hide beneath the noise of self-doubt. I thought, perhaps it was easier to lean on logic, proof, and performance. Although, I am starting to learn that intuition holds a greater weight, one that should not be dismissed, but instead recognised as a gift we all possess. It’s a deeply rooted strength that ties us to energetic intelligence – a concept that feels especially relevant now – as more women step into leadership roles that demand not only strategy, but sensitivity too.
“My days are designed around energetic management. I begin every morning with stillness – meditation, movement, and journalling – before opening into creative strategy. These rituals are not indulgent, they are infrastructure. They keep my energy clean and my intuition clear, which allows me to lead from instinct rather than exhaustion,” says entrepreneur and futurist, Jody Shield.
Since speaking with the former advertising executive turned wellness entrepreneur, mentor, and speaker, I’ve come away with a new perspective on intuition; one that feels empowering and deeply grounding. And I hope her words, filled with sincerity, impart the same confidence in you.
Intuition And Energetic Intelligence
In simple terms, energetic intelligence is the awareness of your own energy – how it affects you, what it makes you feel, and how to manage it. Essentially, it is the ability to perceive, understand, and guide your own, as well as others’ energy, to achieve results that align with your intended purpose. So, where does intuition fit in? While energetic intelligence grounds us, intuition directs our decisions and actions toward meaningful outcomes. In other words, intuition is the expression of energetic intelligence.
The Balance Between Logic And Intuition
“During my corporate years I ignored intuition completely because I was trained to rely on logic, deadlines, and deliverables. After a life-changing shamanic experience in 2011, I began to understand that intuition is data too. For me, data informs but intuition decides when to move. Strategy provides structure, yet intuition gives direction. It must be a balance of both logic and the energetics. Although I always look at the numbers, reading the energy beneath them tells me how people feel, what the timing signals, and whether a decision expands or contracts the ‘field’ (energetic presence of something). The most successful outcomes have always occurred when logic and intuition work together,” says Jody.
“The leaders who thrive in the next decade will be those who can integrate both logic and energetic awareness. Intuition allows us to make faster, cleaner decisions with less friction and ignoring it is like operating with half of your power switched off.”
Impacts On Business
Jody shares, “having experienced many failures throughout my life and career, my mind wanted to stay in control, and in many ways still does. Yet when I look back, I can clearly see that the moments I ignored my intuition were the times when results did not last, or did not happen at all. Over time I learned to lean in. We are all intuitive and use our instincts constantly without realising it. The more we acknowledge that, the more natural it becomes to let intuition lead. Today, it is my most accurate compass in business and in life.”
“I now build teams based on energetic compatibility, not just skill set. I look for people whose frequency matches the vision. We talk about alignment, emotional awareness, and how each person works best. This has created a culture of self-responsibility and flow rather than burnout and control.”
“I believe high performance is energetic, not effort-based. I expect the right energy to be brought through the door each day, and truth, transparency, and integrity are non-negotiable values. Each member of my team is encouraged to understand who they are and the energy they contribute, because when we are aligned at that level, creativity and results flow naturally. My businesses are living systems that reflect the people within them, so everything we bring – both strengths and blocks – becomes part of the energetic fabric.”

Emotional Awareness And Well-being
Jody says, “emotional awareness allows women to read a room before words are even spoken, while intuition lets us sense timing, truth, and opportunity in ways that data alone cannot. When combined, they create a leadership edge that is subtle but incredibly powerful. Women who can lead from both intellect and energetic intelligence make faster, cleaner decisions, and inspire deeper trust from those around them.”
“Prioritising my well-being and my energetic frequency, has made me clearer, sharper, and more decisive. I no longer make choices from urgency or fear. When I am rested, regulated, and connected to myself, I can hold more – more clients, more creativity, and more opportunity. Understanding that I am the business (in many ways), keeping my energy field clean is key, so that I can lead from clarity rather than chaos.”
“Wellness is energetic integrity. It means maintaining the balance between creation and restoration. I see my energy as my greatest asset, so I treat it with care. I work at my highest frequency for a few focused hours each day, before prioritising rest, movement, and reflection. My business only thrives, when I do.”
Integrating Wellness Practices
“My intuition is most accurate when I feel emotionally neutral, and recognising this has completely transformed the way I lead. Meditation has been the key to mastering this. It has trained me to pause before reacting, to feel rather than rush. Some of my most important business decisions have come from a quiet moment of insight after meditation. Morning journalling is one I always come back to. It is how I work with my subconscious mind (where we sabotage) and how I process and receive insight. When I write, I access information within the subconscious mind, and I get a very clear understanding as to how or why I am sabotaging something. It also connects the intuitive with the practical, in a way that keeps me grounded and creative.”
“Often, the simplest tools are the ones we avoid because we expect transformation to be more complex. Yet mastery is often found in simplicity.” Explains, Jody.
The Next Generation
“The next generation is growing up in a world that values authenticity over perfection and energy over effort. They are already more conscious, more emotionally literate, and more willing to question outdated systems of success. These leaders will blend strategy with spirituality, and logic with intuition, as a natural part of how they work.”
“Intuition and energetic intelligence will become essential to leadership. We are entering a new era where consciousness, creativity, and well-being are recognised as true performance indicators. Female entrepreneurs will lead this evolution, bringing empathy, instinct, and energetic awareness into boardrooms across the world. We will soon see tangible and measurable outcomes that reflect this shift. Businesses will begin to achieve what once seemed impossible, financial targets that appear completely unrealistic on paper will be greatly surpassed with ease, and logic will not be able to explain it, yet the results will be undeniable. This is the future of leadership – where energy and intention outperform effort each time” she adds.
Advice
“Slow down. You don’t need to rush to prove your worth. Your energy is your power, and protecting it will take you further than overworking ever could. Rest is productive, intuition is reliable, and alignment will always create more success than effort alone.” Advises Jody.
“You may not feel as though you’re enough all the time, and that is human. What matters is learning to value what you have right now, and who you are in this moment. When you can hold that truth, life will unfold with much greater ease.”
