Fashion Trust Arabia 2024: FTA to Hold Its 6th Annual Awards in Marrakech
Fashion Trust Arabia’s prestigious event will this year be held in the Moroccan capital city
Fashion Trust Arabia (FTA) is excited to announce that the vibrant city of marakesh will be the host city for the 6th edition of the FTA Prize, schedualed for October 2024
This prestigious event is part of the Qatar-Morocco 2024 Years of Culture initiative, reflecting the strong ties between Qatar and Morocco and their shared commitment to supporting Arab culture and nurturing talent in the region.
The collaboration between FTA and the Qatar-Morocco 2024 Years of Culture initiative aims to strengthen cultural partnerships and promote understanding between nations and their peoples. By choosing Marrakech as the host city, FTA highlights the rich cultural heritage of Morocco and celebrates its diverse creative communities.
As a non-profit organization, Fashion Trust Arabia is dedicated to bringing awareness to the burgeoning fashion industry in the MENA region. It regularly collaborates with partners and brands on capsule collections, as well as providing them with funding, support, and exposure on the FTA platforms.
Established in 2018, FTA Prize is a first-of-its-kind platform in the Arab world that was launched under the presence of FTA’s Honorary Chair HH Sheikha Moza bint Nasser, and Co-chairs HE Sheikha Al Mayassa bint Hamad Al Thani and Tania Fares.
Each year, six winning designers are selected across various categories, including Eveningwear, Ready-to-Wear, Accessories, Jewellery, Debut Talent, and Guest Country. This year, the competition has expanded to include a seventh category, Fashion Tech Award 2024, reflecting the evolving landscape of the fashion industry. Applications are now open for emerging designers in the MENA region to submit their work for review.
The format of the finalists’ showcase, judges’ deliberation, and awards ceremony will remain consistent with previous editions, ensuring a fair and transparent selection process. FTA Prize is set to take place in October. A full program, including dates and events surrounding FTA, will be shared at a later stage.
