Givenchy Partners With Harper’s Bazaar Saudi On An Elegant Suhoor To Celebrate Its New Fragrance
To celebrate the launch of its Inséparables fragrance, Givenchy invited an exclusive guestlist to discover its rich rose notes among friends and family of Harper’s Bazaar Saudi
Givenchy is a couture maison famed for its deft lightness of touch, timeless elegance and precious materials; an ethos that extends across its entire offering. Never more so than in its olfactory world, where La Collection Particulière is the jewel in the crown. This line of fragrances takes its inspiration from the emblematic characters and places that shaped its founder’s life, with a meticulously curated edit of perfume portraits.

This year, however, the line boasts a new persona – the Inséparables fragrance – which draws upon the scent of the Château du Jonchet rose garden. And to celebrate its reveal? Harper’s Bazaar Saudi invited an exclusive guestlist to join an elegant suhoor, set in the heart of Riyadh.

Welcomed to indulge in both the picturesque surroundings and the scent itself, guests were invited to Signor Sassi Riyadh to discover its fresh interpretation of the rose – the Rose Centifolia from Grasse, to be specific – one of the most highly-prized ingredients in the world of haute parfum. The fragrance is named after Hubert de Givenchy’s first Haute Couture collection in 1952, titled ‘Les Séparables,’ which hinged upon a concept of two-piece ensembles that could be mixed and matched. This duality is reflected in the fragrance by the balance of honeyed rose and citrus bigarade petitgrain, which has been composed with the same painstaking approach to artisanship.

True fragrance connoisseurs will pick up on the perfume’s many layers. A powdery, delicate scent, ylang-ylang rests atop the rose notes, enhanced by the deeper notes of vetiver and patchouli, followed by the warmth of amber woods. A heady and potent blend, this is a scent that lingers on the skin and looks equally chic upon the dressing table – its bottle features the line’s signature, sleek silhouette and black lacquer cap, adorned with a silver ring.
Framed by the evening’s elegant blooms, chic tablescaping, and rich with the spirit of the Ramadan season, the event saw some of the region’s most influential tastemakers, royal invitees and editors join together to stop and smell the roses. The Rose Centifolia, of course.
