How Natuzzi Italia Is Challenging Design Norms, Placing The Focus On Sustainability

Talking to Bazaar Interiors, Pasquale Junior Natuzzi reveals how he is revolutionizing urban living by challenging designers in a collaborative effort to create engaging lifestyle experiences

“We seek harmony in every product and space we create,” shares Pasquale Junior Natuzzi, the Chief Creative Officer of Natuzzi Italia, the global luxury lifestyle brand that is pushing the limits on creativity and design.

“Harmony takes shape into spaces creating engaging and immersive experiences through integrated and contextualized furnishing solutions identified according to individual needs,” elaborates the passionate scion of the 63-year-old Italian company that is on a mission to redefine luxury and lifestyle experiences.

During his recent visit to attend the eighth edition of Dubai Design Week that took place in November  2022, Pasquale Junior Natuzzi presented the Pouf Terra at the design fair, showcased for the first time in Dubai following its debut at the Milano Design Week 2022.

“Natuzzi has come a long way in the last few decades not only to upgrade the tastes of consumers, but also to set the trends and tones in design and lifestyle,” says Pasquale, as he explains his thoughts behind the Circle of Harmony, Second Life concepta new design philosophy which seeks to incorporate sustainable materials into design, whilst collaborating with designers for new collections.

Designed by Marcantonio, the pouf terra is part of Pasquale’s vision in the evolution of design, focusing on sustainability as the main theme for the future, blending creativity, culture, and functionality for environmentally conscious clients. “We launched Circle of Harmony as a new design philosophy that will bring creativity and newness at home, and it worked well. With time, it will evolve into a definite line of collections within our overall collections.” Working with Marcantonio, Pasquale challenged him to rethink the relationship between man and nature, creating a piece that resonated with the heart of both.

The Natuzzi Italia showroom on Sheikh Zayed road also displayed a range of new products and icons from the latest collections, as well as a custom-made version of the installation Germogli by Marcantonio giving visitors a chance to explore and experience the brand’s lifestyle offerings. “We want to blend different tastes to create something new. It’s a blend of our past, present, and future. The future is going to be a blend of brand, retail, and lifestyle, that one day could have beautiful condos, a boutique, hotels, cafes, restaurant,” expresses Pasquale who looks to the future to create a hospitality and entertainment business model, with Mediterranean influences and furniture crafted in the heart of Italy.
