How To Watch The Worm Moon in The UAE

It signals the end of winter, and the official beginning of spring

The March full moon, also dubbed as the Worm Moon, is expected to light up UAE’s night sky for three days next week. The astral sight can be seen globally from Monday, March 25 onwards.

What is A Worm Moon?

The Worm Moon refers to the full moon that falls during the month of March with the origins of the term coming from Native American Tribes according to The Old Farmer’s Almanac.

The use of the word ‘worm’ comes from the idea that as earthworms began to wiggle their way out of the soil, it brings in the early birds associated with springtime.

Will There Be A Moonbow?

Another reason for excitement is the possibility of seeing a moonbow. Rarer than a normal rainbow, the lunar phenomenon can be seen during rain at the brightest phase of the moon.

With rain expected to hit the UAE next week, you might just be able to get a glimpse of the dazzling event.
