After months of speculation and excitement, Dua Lipa and Callum Turner have officially tied the knot, celebrating with an intimate ceremony in London before hosting a spectacular wedding celebration in Sicily, Italy. While the romance was undeniably at the centre of the occasion, the fashion moments were equally unforgettable, with Dua delivering a bridal wardrobe that felt elegant, personal and entirely her own.
The Chanel Haute Couture Dress That Stole The Show
For the couple’s wedding celebration in Sicily, Dua turned to Chanel for what is already being described as one of the most memorable bridal looks of the year.
Dua wore a custom Haute Couture wedding gown designed by Matthieu Blazy, marking the first Chanel Haute Couture bridal dress he has ever created for a friend of the House. Handcrafted at Chanel’s legendary ateliers at 31 Rue Cambon, the gown was the result of extraordinary craftsmanship and thousands of hours of meticulous handwork.
Entirely hand-embroidered with 480,000 beads by Atelier Montex, the design also featured trompe l’oeil jewel embellishments created by Lesage, requiring more than 1,155 hours of needlework alone. Delicate feather details added further dimension to the silhouette, with 25,000 feathers applied by Lemarié throughout the design.
Equally breathtaking was the veil. Stretching six metres in length, the tulle creation was embroidered with birds, flowers, beads and feathers before being finished with hand-cut organza appliqués. The exceptional piece required more than 3,000 hours of craftsmanship, transforming it into a work of art in its own right.
To complete the look, Dua wore custom white satin pumps created by Massaro, adding a timeless finishing touch to one of Chanel’s most intricate bridal creations in recent years.
Dua Lipa’s first pre-wedding celebration in Sicily also drew attention for its refined guest list and fashion moment. Held in Palermo, Italy on June 5th, the intimate party saw her arrive in a custom Bottega Veneta leather Intrecciato dress, styled with a matching Andiamo clutch. The evening brought together close friends and notable guests, including Charli XCX with George Daniel, as well as Joe Alwyn.
Callum Turner’s Elegant Louis Vuitton Moment
For the Sicilian celebration, Callum Turner chose a custom Louis Vuitton tuxedo designed by Pharrell Williams. A black single-breasted wool jacket worn over a pleated white evening shirt, paired with satin-trimmed trousers, created a timeless silhouette. A handcrafted red peony on the lapel added a subtle romantic touch, bringing quiet personality to the classic look.
Before Sicily Came London
Before the Sicilian celebrations, the couple officially became husband and wife during an intimate ceremony at London’s historic Old Marylebone Town Hall.
For the occasion, Dua stepped away from traditional bridal dressing, choosing a custom couture ensemble by Schiaparelli designed by Daniel Roseberry. The ivory skirt suit featured sculptural tailoring, statement gold buttons and an asymmetrical hemline, paired with satin gloves, a dramatic Stephen Jones hat and pointed Christian Louboutin heels.
Adding a touch of glamour was a striking Bvlgari Serpenti diamond necklace, while a bouquet of vibrant yellow flowers brought colour and personality to the look.
From Schiaparelli in London to Chanel Haute Couture in Sicily, each outfit reflected a different chapter of the celebration while remaining unmistakably true to her personal style. Romantic without feeling overly traditional, glamorous without feeling excessive, the looks captured exactly what modern bridal dressing should be.
