Looking to update your knowledge of all things sparkling? Look no further than L’ÉCOLE Middle East, the School of Jewelry Arts supported by Van Cleef & Arpels. The French jewellery institution, L’ECOLE opened its doors in the region with a clear vision; to make the world of jewellery accessible to everyone, through courses, workshops, conversations, and exhibitions. Across Dubai, and Riyadh, the school introduces those inspired by all that sparkles, to the many facets of jewellery culture, including jewellery history, the science of gemstones, and the intricate craftsmanship behind every creation.

Unlike traditional academies, L’ÉCOLE welcomes everyone. No background in jewellery is required. The only criteria? A sense of curiosity and a love for beauty.

In the past year, the school has expanded its reach across Saudi Arabia through dynamic partnerships with leading cultural organisations. At the AlUla Arts Festival, hosted by the Royal Commission of AlUla, L’ÉCOLE offered hands-on experiences for both children and adults, making jewellery and the arts a shared, family-friendly affair. More recently, a talk held at the French Ambassador’s residence in Riyadh focused on the enduring allure of diamonds, marking the schools debut event in the capital.

The French Ambassador event perfectly compliment an intimate in-store masterclass the following day, led by Caroline Boneti and Laetitia Gilles-Guery, respected lecturers and gemologists from L’ÉCOLE, in Paris. Held within the elegant new Van Cleef & Arpels boutique in Solitaire Mal in Riyadh, the session offered a captivating exploration of The Four C’s of Diamonds – cut, colour, clarity, and carat. Guests engaged in tactile demonstrations and immersive discussions, gaining rare insight into the artistry and precision that define the worlds most coveted stones.

Now, L’ÉCOLE is setting its sights on deeper engagement within the Kingdom. With upcoming programming planned for Riyadh, Jeddah, and AlUla, the school aims to foster a broader appreciation for jewellery not only as adornment but as cultural heritage and artistic expression.

Courses are continually updated and crafted to inspire. From gemmology to age-old jewellery-making techniques, offering something for every kind of jewellery enthusiast. By blending education with elegance, L’ÉCOLE is igniting a passion for jewellery arts across the region, nurturing a community where knowledge is as precious as the gems it celebrates.
