Former 90s supermodel Linda Evangelista has finally settled her lawsuit with a cosmetic procedure company, according to BBC.

Linda, who has modeled for the likes of Chanel, Lanvin, and more publicly spoke out about how the procedures permanently deformed her body 10 months ago on social media.

She announced the news on Instagram, stating that she was “happy to put this matter behind me”, and “looked forward to the next chapter of my life with family and friends.” Evangelista also thanked her followers for their support.

What happened to Linda Evangelista?

In September last year, the former 90s supermodel shared her truth about a cosmetic procedure gone wrong on Instagram. Speaking in detail about her traumatic experience, Evangelista shared that she had been “brutally disfigured” by a cosmetic procedure that “increased, not decreased” her fat cells, leaving her “unrecognizable.”

As a result of the procedure, the model stated that she had developed Paradoxical Adipose Hyperplasia (PAH), which “destroyed [her] livelihood” and made her a “recluse.” Evangelista shared her experience after five years of the procedure, in an attempt to “rid [herself] of any shame” and “walk out [her] door with [her] head held high.” Linda also expressed her sympathies to those suffering with PAH in another post.

The supermodel, who was once a muse for famed fashion photographer Steven Meisel – has recently returned to modeling by featuring in a Fendi campaign, according to E! News.
