Louis Vuitton Announces Its First Ever Make-Up Line Led By Pat McGrath
The most influential make-up artist on the runways will take the helm of the maison’s first cosmetics offering, La Beauté Vuitton
The best ideas are always those you can’t believe haven’t happened yet, and Louis Vuitton’s announcement that Dame Pat McGrath will be leading its new beauty line is the perfect example. There’s no one better to channel the maison’s legacy for contemporary classicism, exceptional materials and sublime packaging, and La Beauté Vuitton promises to deliver the best of both the behemoth brand and Pat’s artistic talents.

Pat began her career in the early 1990s, and in the last few decades has steadily climbed to become the ultimate doyenne of makeup artistry on the runways. Synonymous with fashion month’s most prestigious shows, Pat conceptualises the make-up looks of international major maisons every season, and launched her own make-up brand in 2015. That brand is now a 1$ billion company, founded upon her nuanced eye for colour and futuristic formulation innovation, frequently inspired by her legacy working alongside visionary fashion designers such as Alexander McQueen and John Galliano. This isn’t, however, the first time that Pat has collaborated with a fashion house – she has also produced a cosmetics collection for Giorgio Armani, Dolce & Gabbana and Gucci in the past.

So far, Pat has revealed that the first offering will centre around eye and lip products, with 55 shades of lipstick, 10 lip balms, and eyeshadow palettes that reference the maison’s focus points in its runway show make-up looks. It comes as no surprise that there will also be some ultra-luxe leather goods to complement Pat’s innovative formulas, including lipstick cases and trunk-inspired make-up bags. Launching in autumn 2025, beauty junkies have a little while to wait – but we guarantee it will be worth it.
