Meet The 2026 BAFTA Nominees

The BAFTA nominations are in, with Arab cinema earning a major nod in this year’s line-up

The EE BAFTA Film Awards return for their 79th edition on February 22 at the Royal Festival Hall in London’s Southbank Centre, with this year’s nominations highlighting both established auteurs and emerging global voices.

Paul Thomas Anderson leads the field with 14 nominations for One Battle After Another, while Kaouther Ben Hania’s The Voice of Hind Rajab continues its award season momentum following a recent Oscar nomination – further cementing Arab cinema’s growing presence on a global stage.

The ceremony will also see a shift in hosting duties, with Alan Cumming taking over from David Tennant, opening the door to a new chapter for the awards.
