The new season kicked off with newly appointed host, Gigi Hadid, joining forces with Tan France, to welcome eighteen designers competing to be what’s ‘next in fashion’.
With help from her style team including Elizabeth Sulcer (stylist), Carolina Gonzalez (make-up artist), and Laura Polko (hair stylist), Gigi Hadid pulled off some of the best looks we’ve ever seen on a Netflix series. Each episode in the show was based on a certain theme and/or included a very special guest judge, both of which have seemly inspired every look Gigi greeted us with. Without further ado, here is a breakdown of what she wore in every episode:

Fashion Royalty à la Versace
As this episode brought on Donatella Versace herself to be a guest judge, Gigi wore two different complete Versace looks; one during the rounds, and another during the runway show. For the first part of the episode, Gigi wore a look from the Fall Winter 2022 collection that included a purple rhinestone corset top and a pocket chain from look #52 of the collection. She paired it with Versace logo-pinstripe trousers (AED6,702) with the Versace Heritage Studded Belt (AED3,636) and a pair of Roger Vivier Rangers Patent Leather Loafers (AED3,268). Gigi finished her look with a pair of Versace Medusa-detail Stud Earrings.
Versace On The (Runway) Floor
For the runway show, she changed into an evening Versace look from the Fall Winter 2022 collection, wearing a corset dress and latex gloves from Look 50. She paired it with a pair of Medusa Aevitas platform boots (AED8,171) and accessorised with a Versace blue-gold Medusa pearl ring (AED1,579) and a double pearl embellished ring (AED1,425).
Wearing the Earth
The second episode, entitled “Wear the Earth”, involved the designers to make designs inspired by plants and other natural elements. In an ode to this, Gigi wore the Sevali ‘Albornoz’ coat (AED3,489) with tights from the same brand (which unfortunately ripped on the show!). The brand is known to create pieces using up-cycled fabrics and materials, serving an another nod to the episode’s challenge. The Sevali pieces were paired with the Off-White classic industrial belt (AED440) and a pair of Stella Luna leather chain-link accents sock boots (AED716). The look was accessorised with a pair of Melted Potato ‘Big Carl’ cherry hoop earrings, the Éliou ‘Shroomie’ necklace (AED642) and the Nuessle wrap necklace (AED532).
Au Naturel With A Pop of Colour
In the runway show, the model changed into a The Mannei look including the ‘Antibes’ blazer (AED6,912) and matching skirt (AED2,266). The shoe choice was a classic pair of Stuart Weitzman ‘Décolleté Stuart Glam’ (AED1,652) pumps. The look was accessorized with Eéra ‘Chiara Small Mono’ earrings (AED4,972) and an Éliou ‘Yellow Evil Eye’ necklace (AED576).
Thrifted Couture
For the “Recycled Fashion” challenge, the fashion risk-taker wore a head-to-toe Alessandra Rich look from the Fall Winter 2022 Ready-To-Wear collection for the whole episode (a day-to-night recycle, I suppose). The outfit was composed of a sequin tweed jacket (AED8,659) worn over a zebra pattern knitted sleeveless top (AED2,185), paired with denim shorts (AED1,909) with a custom zebra-print belt (AED2,087) and a pair of crystal-embellished pumps (AED3,110).
Childhood Nostalgia
In the episode dedicated to “Childhood”, the horse-riding enthusiast dressed in a look inspired by her younger years spent in stables around adorable horses. To emulate a typical horseback riding fit but more on-trend, Gigi’s team styled an alpaca blend vest (AED1,223) and the ‘Mavis’ boots (AED3,305) by Rejina Pyo paired with the Celine Triomphe belt (AED2,460) on a pair of signature blue jeans.
Cool Girl But Make It Parisian
To honour guest judge and world-famous designer Isabel Marant, Gigi wore an ensemble complete with Marant pieces. She wore the ‘Drake Eyelet’ silk-blend dress (AED2,626) and nylon pants from the Spring Summer 2022 collection. The look also included Isabel Marant’s ‘Alizia’ sandals (AED1,799) and a Balenciaga baseball hat (AED1,285). To add an eccentric touch to the look, the model wore mismatched earrings from Off-White (AED2,442) and Susan Alexandra (AED543). She also wore a string of different necklaces which included the moonstone scarab necklace (AED22,036), the opalite pendulum necklace (AED26,627), and diamond GIA necklace (AED124,872), all from Jacquie Aiche.
Limited-Edition Collaborations
This episode was all about collaborations, with guest judge and collab expert, Olivier Rousteing. So of course, this episode wore two looks from Balmain, with the first being from the limited-edition Balmain x Barbie collaboration from January 2022. She styles a pink Balmain x Barbie® cropped denim jacket (AED4,229) with a simple white t-shirt underneath, and matching pink Balmain x Barbie® high-rise kickflare jeans (AED1,590).
Fashion Is Art
For the runway show, the catwalk veteran wore another Balmain ensemble, this time a complete look from the Autumn Winter 2022 runway collection including a body-hugging jumpsuit with black boots as seen on the runway.
