Our Guide To Festive Days At Bicester Village

A heritage of luxury, a world of winter wonder

As Bicester Village celebrates 30 years of open-air luxury and experiential retail, the destination marks its anniversary with a sense of occasion. A brimming calendar of festive programming runs across the Village – from live music and snowfall moments to creative workshops and new boutique openings – all set against the charm of the English countryside. It’s a go-to destination for every kind of seasonal outing: the annual girls’ trip, mums browsing while little ones are enchanted, lunches that flow into long, lazy afternoons. There’s a rare balance between leisure, luxury and atmosphere here, making a day at the Village one of the most compelling ways to close the year.

This season, Bicester Village has come up with a festive calendar that turns a visit into a true winter’s day out. From morning through evening, activities unfold for guests of all ages. In December, Thursday afternoons bring festive sing-alongs in the Village Square led by The Blend Choir. Children gather close to the musicians while adults browse nearby or join the chorus. The Santa’s Sleigh Photo Experience runs daily from 1 to 6 pm, a host captures the moment, and a printed photograph comes home. Occasional snow drifts through the air, adding a touch of seasonal theatre; something unexpectedly magical.

Weekends have their own pulse. Live music animates the walkways on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, lending a soundtrack to the season. Cecconi’s makes for an elegant lunch stop with Venetian-influenced dishes, while Crêperie Angélie and Rococo Chocolates serve warming drinks and seasonal sweets that feel perfectly cosy in the cold.

There’s space for creativity, too. NEOM hosts workshops on festive centrepieces, while The Village Workshop is a refined setting loaded with premium papers, ribbons and tools for elevated, personalised wrapping. At La Tua Pasta, festive breakfast wrapping sessions combine craft, Italian comfort and expert guidance; a relaxed and creative way to begin the day before embracing the boutiques.

As the season progresses, the Village continues to evolve. Missoma, Rixo, Birkenstock, Guerlain, Acqua di Parma and Christian Louboutin Beauty have recently joined the edit, broadening options across ready-to-wear, fragrance and accessories. Jo Malone London elevates the olfactory experience with engraving and scent layering, and Fortnum & Mason, in its first UK boutique outside London, is a central stop for cute, curated hampers and personalised presents.

The Bicester Collection: International Programming

This festive spirit extends outside Oxfordshire as Villages across The Bicester Collection reveal their own seasonal programming. Just outside Paris, La Vallée Village runs until 31 December with 25 days of festive ‘animations’, including snow machines, live pianists, bespoke customisation and a sleigh-car photo moment, alongside new arrivals including Jacquemus and Lululemon. In Barcelona, La Roca Village’s “So Much More Than Gifting” campaign focuses on the emotional side of giving, with façades and windows reimagined by Lleida-born artist Lara Costafreda in poetic Toile de Jouy-inspired illustrations, supported by a Christmas market, live music, creative workshops and weekend visits from Santa and his helpers.

Over in Madrid, Las Rozas Village marks its 25th anniversary with the final chapter of its Mano a Mano initiative, a Natural Fibres campaign that highlights sustainable craftsmanship and nature-led design. Between 14 November and 7 January, the Village is dressed with biodegradable decorations, a sculptural Christmas tree by Berta Bucam & Cocol and fibre installations by Gabriela Sagarminaga and Raúl del Chano, alongside new boutiques Nude Project, Birkenstock and Eme Studios. An Advent calendar with daily prizes, seasonal treats such as churros and hot consommé and an artisanal market reinforce the focus on craft and community. Across Italy, Ireland and Germany, Villages including Fidenza Village, Kildare Village, Wertheim Village and Ingolstadt Village add their own festive signatures, from partywear and tastings to vibrant, locally-rooted celebrations.
