Pamela Chopra Has Passed Away At 74

The Indian playback singer and film writer died in Mumbai, according to multiple reports…

Pamela Chopra, an Indian playback singer, film writer, producer and wife of the veteran Bollywood film director, Yash Chopra, has passed away in Mumbai aged 74.

Dr Prahlad Prabhudesai spoke to Indian Express saying, “She passed away today. She was on a ventilator in Lilavati Hospital for 15 days. She had pneumonia,”

The Indian film production company, Yash Raj Films released a statement on Instagram. The caption reads, “With heavy hearts, the Chopra family would like to inform that Pamela Chopra, 74, passed away this morning. Her cremation took place at 11 am in Mumbai. We are grateful for your prayers and the family would like to request for privacy in this deep moment of sadness and reflection,”

Pamela Chopra who was described by many as not just a beloved wife but a muse to her late husband, Yash Chopra, was credited as a writer, costume designer and singer in some of Yash Raj Films most infamous films.
