Piaget’s Golden Age Returns at Art Dubai
The Play of Shapes exhibition celebrates extraordinary creations, artistic collaborations, and the launch of the newly reimagined “Sixtie” jewellery watch collection
From April 18 to 20, Piaget invites visitors into an immersive world of elegance at Art Dubai, hosted in the cultural heart of Madinat Jumeirah. The Maison unveils a dazzling series of trapeze watches from its newly revived Sixtie Collection—a celebration of craftsmanship, heritage, and artistic daring.
At the centre of the experience is a homage to Piaget’s glorious past. The new re-imagined Sixtie pieces, draw directly from the flamboyant spirit of the 1960s, a decade where piaget redefined women’s watches and ushered in what they call its ‘golden age’. Sixty years later, the maison reimagines that bold legacy with a modern touch.
Adding a layer of contemporary artistry to the showcase, Piaget also unveiled its collaborations with two leading creatives from the Gulf: Kuwaiti artist Alymamah Rashed and Emirati designer Shamsa Alabbar.

Rashed, known for her surreal compositions and fluid, emotional forms, presents a poetic interpretation of the new collection through her work “Your Love Moves Around My Trapeze Sun (Will You Hold Our Glistening Light?)”. Which drew inspiration from The trapeze-shaped dial in Piaget’s new Sixtie Jewellery Watch Collection.

Meanwhile, Shamsa Alabbar along with Piaget pays tribute to the Gulf’s rich maritime heritage with a one-of-a-kind limited-edition Limelight Gala Precious watch, featuring intricate gold arabesque motifs set on a mother-of-pearl dial and designed with a Decor Palace bracelet engraved by hand at the Ateliers de l ’Extraordinaire.

These exquisite creations make it clear—Piaget continues to shine as brightly today as it did in its golden years, because of its devotion to innovation, through tradition.
