Sassan Behnam-Bakhtiar’s latest work took Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat by storm
The grand reveal of Sassan Behnam-Bakhtiar‘s The Journey, a €10-million mural work painted on the walls and ceilings of a private club space in Ali Jassim’s brand-new mansion in Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat, was a magnet for pioneers in the arts – musicians, artists and designers alike.

The unveiling was followed by celebrated music duo Bedouin playing a special set in the midst of the artwork, with 150 handpicked VIP guests as an audience.

Models Amber Le Bon, Abbey Clancy, former footballer Peter Crouch and rapper Tinie Tempah, among others, were spotted at the star-studded event.

The Journey was set beautifully in the uber-exclusive Club Dauphin restaurant in the grounds of the Grand-Hôtel du Cap-Ferrat, where the Mayor of Cap Ferrat waxed lyrical about the French-Iranian artist.

“Sassan absolutely blew everyone’s mind with The Journey,” enthuses Ali Jassim, a renowned philanthropist, art patron and entrepreneur.
“A second mural has been planned to be executed at the city’s Cultural Centre during the next few months.”

The artist garnered global embrace from critics during his last major solo exhibition with Setareh in Germany, which marked the very first time that the gallery hosted a solo show in three of its spaces simultaneously for any of its represented artists.
An impressive 65 paintings were sold prior and during the opening night.

“Being the humble artist that Sassan is, I will say that he is set to go on a major tour with solo exhibitions coming up in Monaco, Berlin, London, Dusseldorf and Paris, and I am more than excited to be next to him on this journey,” Ali continues.

“This event was merely an amuse bouche on what is to come. We are already working on a one-of-a-kind art performance by Sassan and a surprise celebrity musician mid-September 2022 in Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat.”
