Pomellato Announces Hande Erçel As Its New Ambassador
To coincide with the launch of its new Nudo collections, the Italian fine jeweller turns to the Turkish actress to showcase its scintillating new designs
Pomellato has announced Hande Erçel as its new global brand ambassador, bedecked in the maison’s new bold and brilliant Nudo jewels. The Rose D’Or award-winning Turkish actress is celebrated for her roles in Aşk Laftan Anlamaz, Sen Çal Kapımı and Bambaşka Biri, and her effortless on-screen grace chimes perfectly with the maison’s design codes. Since it was founded in 1967, Pomellato has continued to hone its elegant artistry and craft, designing colourful, eye-catching jewels with a little dash of drama.
The partnership comes at the perfect time—this year, the maison introduces the Nudo collection’s most ground-breaking chapter yet, with fresh, re-imagined takes on its signature styles. From the Nudo Mini collection, to new Toi et Moi designs and opulent high jewellery pieces, each creation riffs on Pomellato’s artisanal prowess, suitably echoed by Hande’s heritage in the arts; she is currently studying carpet weaving at the Traditional Turkish Arts at Mimar Sinam Fine Arts University.
Here, Bazaar Arabia speaks to Hande as she embarks on her new role; representing an Italian icon of contemporary jewellery design.
What does it mean to you to become Pomellato’s ambassador?
Being chosen as Pomellato’s ambassador feels like a natural alignment of values. Like the maison, I believe in authenticity and the power of self-expression. Pomellato’s dedication to crafting jewels that celebrate women’s strength and individuality resonates deeply with me. The maison’s commitment to empowering women through creativity and independence mirrors my own journey as an artist and actress.
How would you describe your relationship with jewellery?
For me, jewellery is a form of artistic expression, much like painting, which is another passion of mine. I view each piece as a small work of art that carries emotion and meaning. What I love about Pomellato is how its jewels feel both powerful and intimate—they’re statement pieces that still feel personally connected to who you are. When I wear Pomellato, it’s like wearing a piece of art that becomes part of my story.

Which Pomellato collection speaks to you the most and why?
Nudo captivates me with its boldness and simplicity. The way the gemstones appear to float reflects a kind of creative freedom that I deeply appreciate as an artist. Each stone’s unique character shines through, just as each woman’s individuality should be celebrated. I also love how the collection can be personalized – you can stack rings or choose colours that reflect your mood or personality.
How do you incorporate Pomellato jewels into your daily life?
I believe in the power of everyday elegance. Whether I’m on set, painting in my studio, or meeting friends, I choose pieces that feel natural and comfortable while making a statement. Some days I might wear a single Nudo ring that adds a pop of colour to my outfit, other days I’ll layer several Iconica pieces for a bolder look. I love how versatile Pomellato jewellery is. It’s like adding brushstrokes to a canvas; each piece contributes to the overall story I want to tell that day.
As someone who champions women’s empowerment, how do you view Pomellato’s commitment to female leadership?
What impresses me most about Pomellato is its authentic commitment to women’s empowerment – from their female leadership to their social initiatives – reflects my belief that by supporting one another, we can achieve amazing things together. Its ‘Pomellato for Women’ initiative resonates with me because it creates meaningful dialogue about important issues facing women today. Just as I’ve carved my own path in my career, Pomellato encourages women to express themselves freely. I’m incredibly proud to see more and more young women choosing to follow their dreams. Women bring a unique vision and creativity to everything they touch.

Your style is admired globally. How would you describe your personal approach to fashion and jewellery?
My approach to fashion and jewellery is very intuitive and authentic. I believe in wearing what makes you feel confident rather than following trends. This aligns perfectly with Pomellato’s jewels that enhance rather than overshadow a woman’s natural presence. I love mixing unexpected elements – perhaps pairing a casual outfit with a statement Catene necklace or adding multiple Nudo rings to an elegant evening look.
As an artist yourself, how do you appreciate Pomellato’s artistic approach to jewellry?
As someone who paints, I’m naturally drawn to Pomellato’s artistic sensibility – its use of colour, their attention to form and proportion, their creative vision. Each piece feels like a miniature sculpture. I especially admire how they challenge traditional jewellery conventions, much like an artist questioning established norms. Like in my paintings, where every detail matters, I’m fascinated by how Pomellato’s artisans transform raw materials into pieces of art. The way they work with colour, particularly in their gemstone selections, speaks to my artistic sense. There’s a beautiful balance between precision and creativity in their work that I deeply appreciate as someone who understands the importance of both technical skill and artistic vision. Like my approach to acting and painting, each Pomellato piece tells its own unique story.
What message would you like to share with women who look up to you?
I would encourage every woman to embrace her uniqueness and trust her instincts. I believe each woman should feel free to express herself authentically. Success comes from being true to yourself and having the courage to follow your own path, even when it differs from convention.

How do you view the relationship between heritage and modernity in jewellery?
I found it fascinating, in every form of art the secret is to maintain a dialogue between craftsmanship heritage and innovation. This is evident in Pomellato’s jewels that are both timeless and contemporary – where traditional artistry meets modern design. This balance is something I strive for in my own work: respecting tradition while pushing creative boundaries.
What does modern luxury mean to you?
Modern luxury is about authenticity, craftsmanship, and conscious choices. It’s not about showing off, but about choosing pieces that have meaning and are created with respect for both people and the environment. True luxury today is about having the freedom to express yourself while making mindful choices.
