Rally Jameel 2025 Champions Women’s Power on a Cross-Border Route from Jordan

Female rally drivers have assembled in Jordan for the first women-only navigational event

The fourth edition of Rally Jameel, the first women-only navigational rally in the Middle East, launched yesterday in the ancient city of Petra, Jordan—marking the event’s first cross-border expansion in its fourth edition and a major milestone for women in motorsport.

The rally, which began as a Saudi initiative, now spans over 1,600 kilometres and five days across Jordan and Saudi Arabia, celebrating the region’s potential as a global hub for adventure tourism and cultural exploration.

This year’s route traces a breathtaking journey through Petra, Tabuk, AlUla, Hail, and Qassim—each destination steeped in natural beauty and historical significance. The rally not only challenges participants with its demanding terrain but also highlights the deep-rooted cultural ties between Jordan and Saudi Arabia, once linked by the ancient Nabataean trade routes. With 41 teams from 37 countries taking part, the event has become a powerful symbol of resilience, empowerment, and cross-cultural connection.

The launch ceremony was attended by prominent Jordanian figures, including representatives from the Petra Development and Tourism Region Authority and Jordan Motorsport, underscoring the importance of regional partnerships. “Hosting the launch in Petra is a proud milestone that reflects our shared vision for an inclusive and globally connected motorsport ecosystem,” said Zaid Balqez, CEO of Jordan Motorsport.

More than just a motorsport event, Rally Jameel is a platform for empowerment and inclusion, spotlighting the growing role of women in the world of rallying and adventure sports. As Rally Jameel continues to grow, it reaffirms Saudi Arabia’s commitment to expanding women’s roles in sports and aligns with the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 goals. “This year’s edition reflects the spirit of exploration, resilience, and cross-cultural connection that has always defined Rally Jameel,” said Munir Khoja of Abdul Latif Jameel Motors. With engines roaring and landscapes unfolding, Rally Jameel 2025 promises to be the most ambitious and inspiring yet.
