WHOOP x PEAQ Wellness Share Their Tips On How To Thrive During The Remaining Days of Ramadan

Looking to detox and better yourself on the inside and out in the remaining week of Ramadan? Let WHOOP and Peaq Wellness share their tips on re-setting mind, body and soul

Almost at the end of the Ramadan period, energy levels can be sluggish and the days can feel ultra-long. The solution? PEAQ Wellness, the first social wellness members club in the UAE has partnered with WHOOP to provide tips on pushing through the final days of Ramadan, inviting key speakers—including Bazaar Arabia’s resident psychologist Dr. Saliha Afridi—to give their advice on thriving through the last stretch. From prioritising sleep to trying light therapy, here are some tips from the experts collaborating with PEAQ Wellness this Ramadan.

Prioritise Quality Of Sleep Over Quantity

“During Ramadan when daily routines can be disrupted by late nights and early mornings, prioritizing sleep is key to maintaining energy levels, promoting recovery, and supporting overall health and wellbeing,” says Stephan Muller, marketing director of WHOOP, GCC. Wearable tech such as WHOOP can help in monitoring your sleep cycle and stages in order to work out your optimal bedtime and wake time. “The WHOOP Sleep Planner can set personal sleep targets based on how active you are, and insights on heart rate variability can help you adapt your routine to optimise your recovery during Ramadan.”

Reduce Screen-Time Before Bed

There is one golden rule of sleep hygiene—limit your exposure to blue light from screens 1-2 hours before you go to bed, in order to support your natural melatonin production. Blue light blocking glasses, or enabling bedtime mode on devices can help ensure you get better rest and restorative sleep.

Don’t Forget To Hydrate

“My top tip in the last week of Ramadan: focus on hydration. As we near the end, it’s common to feel physically depleted—especially if you’ve been focused on spiritual goals and less on rest. Staying well-hydrated between Iftar and Suhoor can make a big difference in energy levels, mental clarity, deep sleep, recovery, and even emotional balance. Add in hydrating foods like watermelon, cucumber, and soups.” says Dr. Saliha Afridi, Bazaar Arabia’s resident psychologist.

Prioritise hydration, as dehydration can interfere with sleep and result in lower energy levels throughout the day. Proper hydration is crucial for recovery, so be sure to replenish electrolytes during Iftar.

Try Light Therapy

These days, there is tonnes of tech that can be harnessed to improve your well-being, and light therapy is one of the most trending topics. Brands such as Bon Charge offer a red light face mask and red light blanket, while guests at PEAQ Wellness can try a Pilates session upon a red light therapy mat—penetrating the skin while getting the body moving and blood flowing.

Harness Contrast Therapy

Contrast therapy is a wellness practice that alternates between hot and cold temperatures to enhance circulation and promote recovery. At PEAQ Wellness, contrast therapy sessions involve alternating between traditional or infrared saunas and cold plunge baths, aiming to to improve blood circulation throughout the body and aid in muscle recovery.
