Breaking the Mould with Ryouf Al-Rumaih

Ryouf Al-Rumaih’s trailblazing journey from niche branding to national impact

Female entrepreneurship may have once been a thing of rarity, but thanks to the work of visionary women and trailblazers of their fields, that’s a notion better left in the past. Riyadh’s own Ryouf Al-Rumaih is one of these women, defying the odds against her to build a veritable business empire of her own.  Ryouf’s role as the CEO of Nithar is not one limited to the confines of paper-pushing bureaucracy, but involves weaving the quintessential Saudi essence into big-budget projects and empowering the women inspired by her.

Her journey at the helm of her creative agency Nithar began in 2012, and it wasn’t exactly a walk in the park, to put it lightly. Entering a male-dominated field with established players, especially those from foreign countries, posed a significant challenge in the early days. Beginning as a niche agency which focused solely on corporate events, branding and marketing, Ryouf grew the company and expanded its offerings into a full-fledged marketing force, alongside a hand-picked team of talented professionals.

While the road ahead was a challenging one, Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 has created a thriving entrepreneurial landscape, and Ryouf’s determination helped Nithar not only overcome obstacles but also achieve significant success.

Al-Rumaih also advocates for global relevance, urging Saudi entrepreneurs to draw inspiration from international pioneers while staying rooted in local identity. Her story is a testament to Vision 2030’s promise, proving that authenticity, innovation, and cultural pride can redefine industries and break barriers.
