Sassan Behnam-Bakhtiar Launches First Hybrid Collection Of NFTs And Physical Artworks
Collectors can start applying for the works from tomorrow…
French-Iranian contemporary artist Sassan Behnam-Bakhtiar is offering his abstract artworks as NFTs for the very first time. Making the brand-new Manifest series accessible to all, collectors can own an NFT for 0.3 ETH or its sister work on paper for €1,000.
All 100 works will be showcased during the artist’s upcoming solo show in Setareh’s Berlin space, marking the only chance to see the original works on paper behind the NFTs.

“Manifest is an ode to the energy and the subconscious,” explains Samandar Setareh, owner of Setareh.
“Energy surrounds us, flows through us and yet, usually, it’s hard to explain how it feels – such as when we feel the vibration of a full moon, or the sound of the ocean waves.”

Applications will be open from tomorrow, and applicants will be selected on a first-come, first-served basis.
The 50 NFTs and 50 unique, physical hand-painted works on paper are numbered from one to 100, and an automated ranking system was used to scan each to assign a rank based on the number of colours and scrapes.

The hybrid exhibition delves into an intimate dialogue of the transformation of energy into matter, navigating the inner route to fulfilment and access to the subconscious mind.
“Our souls are nurtured by the source of creation,” says Sassan, touching on the inspiration behind the works. “An infinite source which does not finish. This source always carries its own energy in a way that it never runs out of it.”

This venture comes after Sassan broke a record with auction house Phillips, selling a medium-sized piece for €54,000.
Art collectors from around the world can apply for the Manifest NFTs and works on paper (priced at €1,000 each) between 20 December 2021 to 18 January 2022.
