Storms in Jeddah: Roads Washed Out As Rainfall Causes Flooding
Just days after the UAE saw bouts of heavy rain and thundershowers, the city sees extreme weather conditions of its own as netizens share clips across social media
Rain, thunder, and lightning – storms in Jeddah have brought the city to a halt as residents shared clips of washed-out roads across social media.
The Saudi Press Agency reported that all schools – public, private and international – in Jeddah, Rabigh, and Khulais are closed today, according to Arab News.
King Abdulaziz International Airport also saw its fair share of the storm’s rainfall…
Residents took to Twitter and Instagram to share images and video clips of roadside conditions regarding the storms in Jeddah…

The heavy rain and storms in Jeddah come just days after the UAE saw heavy rainfall of its own…
On Monday the UAE Ministry of Interior issued a storm warning, urging UAE residents to take care and today parts of the emirate saw showers, accompanied by thunder and lightning.
