Its A Love Story – And She Said Yes
Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce confirmed their engagement on August 26, 2025, via a joint Instagram post featuring a dreamy garden photo carousel, and a caption that said, “Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married.”
According to reports from Kelce’s dad, the engagement took place weeks earlier in a garden at Lee’s Summit, Missouri. Travis chose an intimate moment over a grand gesture, before popping the question.
The custom-made ring—an old mine brilliant-cut diamond framed in an 18-karat gold bezel setting—was designed by Kelce in collaboration with jewellery designer Kindred Lubeck, valued at an estimate of at least $550,000.
The First Chiefs Game She Attended (Post “Friendship Bracelet” Incident)
The roots of their relationship began when Travis Kelce attempted (as told on the July 2023 New Heights podcast episode) to present Taylor with a friendship bracelet featuring his number at one of her Eras Tour stops. Though he didn’t succeed, Swift certainly appreciated the gesture, and shortly after that the 14-time Grammy winner was first spotted at a Chiefs game in September, supporting her football player beau from the stands, and she wasn’t alone; joining her was Travis Kelce’s mother.

Travis as A Backup Dancer
In the European leg of her tour, at Taylor’s long stretch of shows at Wembley Stadium, Kelce surprised fans by joining Swift onstage as a back-up dancer. Clad in a top hat and tails, he carried her onto a couch during Swift’s performance of I Can Do It with a Broken Heart.
Taylor on The New Heights Podcast
On August 12, 2025, The Cruel Summer singer appeared on the Kelce brothers’ sports podcast, New Heights, where she revealed the title of her upcoming twelfth studio album, The Life of a Showgirl. The episode drew a record-breaking audience of 1.3 million, and even broke a Guinness World Record. Beyond announcing the album, Taylor also chatted casually, sharing her love for sourdough baking and bantering playfully with Travis and his brother, Jason, throughout the show.

Taylor has always been a constant supporter at Travis’ games, always showing up to cheer, despite her busy schedule.
