Maya Diab released a new single called “Ahlan Wa Sahlan” on September 16, and the innovative music video is having fans buzzing.
The creative clip, directed by Jad Shwery, showcases Maya and her love interest moving through the Arabian peninsula, ancient Rome, Greece, Native America, Mexico, and Babylon – However, the clip was actually filmed in the seaside town of Al-Qalamoun, in Lebanon’s North Governate.
Maya shared some fun behind-the-scenes clips on her Instagram stories, taking her fans on a trip through the filming process, answering all kinds of questions about her latest hit and sharing some gorgeous shots of her looks. The singer also breaks down each of her outfits from the clip on her Instagram page, @mayadiab – all of which were styled by the talented Sleiman Dayaa.
In her first look, Maya appears dressed in traditional Bedouin clothing, including a large embroidered thobe designed by Katya Kovtunovich, paired with a statement headpiece.

She then appears looking like a Roman Goddess in a stunning custom burgundy chiffon dress and hand-crafted brass armour epaulets by Lebanese designer Jean-Louis Sabaji.
Moving across the Mediterranean, the singer landed in Greece, sporting a gorgeous blue-tiered frill maxi-dress by none other than Roberto Cavalli.
Taking us around the globe, Maya lands in Native America, sporting another beautiful look by Roberto Cavalli, a chiffon embellished halter-neck gown with a floral fringe poncho.
Next, we are transported to the colourful culture of Mexico, where the singer is seen rocking a long-sleeved floral dress by Mrs. Keepa.
And last but not least, behind Maya’s shiny iconic Babylonian look is Amato Couture.
