Why You Should Escape To The Bicester Collection’s Take On Retail Therapy This Summer Season

The latest additions across Europe’s destinations make a strong case for shopping in the warmer months

The Bicester Collection is adding a series of new openings and experiences to its Villages this season, from fashion and beauty to dining and cultural activations, in the UK, Spain, France, Italy, and Germany.

Starting in the UK, Bicester Village in Oxfordshire has a number of new additions worth noting. Belstaff joins the line-up with its menswear and outerwear offering, and is one to keep in mind if you are picking up something for your partner. Jacob Cohën, which opened in March, is focused on quality denim. Elsewhere in the Village, the newly opened Bear Street Bakery kiosk, the Zurich-born brand’s first UK outpost, offers cookies and hot chocolate that you are sure to welcome in the British weather.

Beauty and technology are on full display at Dyson’s recently opened boutique, where the brand’s full range is ready to be explored. The boutique includes demonstration zones and styling stations for visitors to properly experience the styling tools.

Diptyque has also arrived at Bicester Village, bringing its coveted Parisian fragrance and lifestyle offering to the Village’s growing beauty edit. The Parisian house is known for its distinctive scents across candles, diffusers and perfume, making it a worthwhile stop for anyone looking to pick up something considered.

Alongside this, a CurrentBody pop-up and Dr Vranjes, the Italian fragrance house known for its diffusers and candles, are also joining the Village’s line-up this month.

The overall experience is designed to be as smooth as possible at Bicester Village with hands-free shopping, which allows purchases to be collected and prepared for later pick-up.

Next, in Madrid, Nude Project’s new boutique at Las Rozas Village is planned to serve as a cultural space with music and a sense of community. A DJ room, hidden jukebox, and relaxed seating areas encourage guests to lounge and discover the store. The Village is also continuing to add more to the line-up, with the March opening of Spanish label Brownie, now joined by cult brands Bimani and Flabelus.

In France, La Vallée Village introduces a series of new boutiques spanning fashion, beauty and lifestyle. Watchfinder offers a curated selection of pre-owned timepieces, while Jacquemus, Guerlain, Rabanne and Birkenstock expand the range as well. The dining experience extends further with Menu Palais offering a well-regarded menu for guests looking to pause between boutiques.

In Germany, Ingolstadt Village has celebrated a series of new openings, including Lodenfrey, Juvia, Coccinelle, Liebeskind, and Philipp Plein, spanning heritage fashion, everyday staples, and accessories.

In Italy, Fidenza Village has added a cultural dimension that makes the destination genuinely worth a detour. Richard Orlinski’s Wild Kong, a three-metre red resin sculpture depicting a gorilla, has taken up permanent residence at the Village from 8 May, becoming the thirtieth artwork in the Village’s ongoing art programme.

The work is part of Orlinski’s Born Wild concept, a meditation on the tension between instinct and conscience, strength and vulnerability, and sits within the Village’s wider ambition to create a space where shopping and cultural experience coexist. Wild Kong will remain on view at Fidenza Village until October 2026. Alongside this, the Village continues to expand with Ferragamo, Givenchy and Dickies among its latest openings, as well as a new Lindt glasshouse and the arrival of Outly Luxury

From Bicester Village in Oxfordshire to Las Rozas Village in Madrid, La Vallée Village in France, Fidenza Village in Italy, and Ingolstadt Village in Germany, each destination offers its own take on a full day spent well. The only question is where to begin.
