Why the Dubai Mall Festival of Fashion Deserves a Spot in Your January Diary

Masterclasses, global brands and creative exchange across two days

If fashion is something you follow closely, whether by watching runways, reading editorials or simply through your personal style, the Dubai Mall Festival of Fashion may be the event to jot down in your calendar this month. Taking place across two days, the occasion brings together masterclasses, creative voices, and global brands, offering the chance to observe prominent figures in the industry at work.

Taking place from January 29 to 30, the Dubai Mall Festival of Fashion marks the first edition of what is intended to become an annual platform, transforming the world’s most visited retail destination into a space for fashion-led exchange and learning. It brings together industry voices, designers, stylists, and global brands through a curated schedule of masterclasses, live moments and immersive experiences designed to reflect the way fashion is evolving both regionally and internationally.

One of the main offerings will be the masterclass programme, with day one dedicated to sessions led by some of the region’s most influential fashion and beauty figures. The programme will range from styling for editorial and digital platforms to understanding how beauty and accessories shape visual storytelling. Cedric Haddad will lead a session on styling for photoshoots and social media, examining how to create looks that translate seamlessly across campaigns, editorials and online platforms. Maram Zbaeda will explore cultural fashion influences and fusion styling, unpacking the relationship between heritage, identity and contemporary design, while Mariam Khairallah’s session will centre on beauty, facial structure and the way makeup artistry can be translated into fashion narratives.

An exclusive masterclass by Hindash is also set to take place, offering insight into his approach to modern glamour and creative expression. Meanwhile, Mai Galal will turn the attention to accessories, breaking down how statement pieces can elevate, transform and complete a well-thought-out look.

Supporting the Festival is a number of global fashion and luxury brand partners activating across masterclass and showcase spaces throughout the two days. Names including Temperley London, Kwanpen, Judith Leiber, Marc Jacobs, Kayali and Narciso Rodriguez will each bring their own perspective to the programme, creating opportunities for discovery and engagement that extend beyond traditional retail experiences.

The Dubai Mall Festival of Fashion presents itself as a reflection of the city’s growing role as a global fashion capital, one that bridges international influence with regional talent. With limited spaces available for masterclasses and further programme details set to be revealed in the coming weeks, early registration is encouraged.
