The Frankie Shop Makes Its Middle East Debut with an Exclusive Pop-Up in Abu Dhabi

Abu Dhabi’s fashion scene is about to get a major dose of Parisian minimalism

Renowned for its effortlessly chic and contemporary minimalism, The Frankie Shop is officially making its mark in the Middle East. In partnership with the Abu Dhabi Investment Office (ADIO), the Paris-based label is launching its first retail experience in the region with an exclusive two-week pop-up, opening April 18 at Region Concept Space in Mina Zayed Port (MiZa).

To commemorate this highly anticipated debut, The Frankie Shop has unveiled an exclusive Abu Dhabi Collection — a curated selection of ready-to-wear pieces designed especially for the capital. Inspired by the rich cultural landscape and modern sophistication of Abu Dhabi, the capsule seamlessly blends the brand’s signature sharp tailoring with tactile spring-ready fabrics and a colour palette of desert-inspired neutrals: think ivory, olive, sand, and sun-faded browns. “Abu Dhabi has deeply inspired this exclusive collection. Every piece is bespoke, grounded in the city’s energy and made for its community, through The Frankie Shop’s lens,” says Gaëlle Drevet, founder of The Frankie Shop.

The limited collection introduces a mix of structured yet fluid silhouettes: long and cropped trench coats, oversized linen Bermuda sets, sharp-shouldered blazers, coordinating silk separates, and soft tie-front shirts. Modesty is reimagined through contemporary pieces like hooded tops, long shirt dresses, and wrap-style jackets. Every design offers versatility in layering and styling, with matching ties, softly tailored suits, and a thoughtful balance between elegance and ease.

More than a retail pop-up, the activation will be a creative hub merging fashion, design, and local culture. Alongside the exclusive collection, visitors can explore curated lifestyle collaborations, including Collagen 48 Café at The Frankie Coffee Shop, an original illustration by Tulip Hazbar, handcrafted palm tree carpets by Cheb Moha, and a limited-edition drop of Karen Wazen sunglasses with custom pouches.

The pop-up will also feature an exciting lineup of panels, styling sessions, and VIP events designed to foster conversations around style, creativity, and modern minimalism. Notable highlights include styling sessions with Gaëlle Drevet, fashion insider Bettina Looney, and regional stylist Sam Safavi, hosted by Soho House.

As Abu Dhabi continues to carve out its presence on the international fashion map, activations like The Frankie Shop’s pop-up mark a new era for the city’s style scene. Noora Al Foulathi of ADIO reflects, “We’re honored to host The Frankie Shop’s retail debut in the region with a two-week activation in Abu Dhabi, anchored by an exclusive Abu Dhabi collection — a fashion-first for the city and the region.”

Whether you’re a minimalist devotee or simply curious about the globally adored label, this immersive pop-up promises an unmissable blend of contemporary fashion, cultural exchange, and creative dialogue.
