Bathroom Selfie
When we go to a new restaurant we’re not only looking for topnotch service and sublime food, we’re also hoping for a bathroom with a beautiful backdrop to snap our exclusive selfies – minus the toilet bowl. The new DREAM concept venue at The Address Beach Resort on JBR has a fancy bathroom complete with gilded sinks and a life-size giraffe that’s more than ideal – although full disclosure, the giraffe lives in the men’s room – the ladies’ holds a gorilla.
Luxury Lazing
Known for its sophisticated sets, fashion’s favourite lingerie brand, La Perla is now dabbling in comfort dressing, and we’re here for it. The luxurious cashmere loose-fit trousers and cardigans in powder pinks and cool greens have upped the ante when it comes to slobbing on the sofa.
The New Vintage
Iranian-born Maryam Nassir Zadeh has revisited all her favourite pieces from the design archive and curated the ultimate MNZ wardrobe while inspiring her customers on how to wear old pieces now. Due to fabric shortages during the pandemic she also re-energised fabrics from former collections adding to the sustainability factor for her newly presented Resort 2022 collection.
Beret Cool
Love it or hate it, there’s no doubt that Emily in Paris’ wardrobe tickled our fashion antennae. And if we were going to walk into 2022 with one item from her closet, it would definitely be the beret.
Naked Nails
If there’s one month to dial back the glitz, it’s January, so we won’t argue with the low-maintenance mani that requires only a buff and file, allowing our nail beds a well-earned rest.
