After all there’s something inspiring about the energy of the Big Smoke and its rich sartorial history. British brands Biba and Mary Quant dressed youthquakers in the 60s, while mods and rockers battled it out in a fury of leather jackets and cleancut suiting into the 70s. The New Romantics of the early 80s – heavily influenced by the likes of David Bowie and Marc Bolan – left their mark on the London scene with their outrageous dressing habits, before the Britpop bands of the 90s took over with their thoughtfully scruffy attire. London Fashion Week was where Vivienne Westwood and Alexander “Lee” McQueen presented some of their most memorable collections.

Having wrapped up just a few days ago, this season saw some of the most daring collections in recent years, showcased in the British capital. Albanian designer Nensi Dojaka made her return to the runway after two seasons, debuting a seductive collaboration with Calvin Klein. The brand presented its distinctive sheer cut-out aesthetic, using visible seams, matte contrasts and thin straps; mixing lingerie with an oversized blazer for a chic evening look to empower sensuality.

Taking over the national Theatre on London’s Southbank, Daniel Lee showcased Burberry’s Spring/Summer 2025 collection with the intention to broader the brands appeal, the designer presented elevated trench looks embodying major practicality and wearability. Glittering evening dresses with parkas were paraded along the catwalk, highlighting the transitional element of the Spring/Summer 2025 collection.

While London will always be one of our favourite cities, industry insiders and editors know how difficult it can be to get around town during fashion week – and one particular private car service is making it easier to navigate the city.
