Spring showers, indeed! UAE residents woke up to wet conditions, thunder, lightning and hail on Tuesday morning
In the early hours of Tuesday morning, a powerful storm swept across the UAE. While rain and thunder are expected to continue throughout the day, the extreme weather conditions added to the number of recent storms punctuating the typically sunny climate, underscoring evolving weather patterns and the effects of cloud seeding here in the UAE.
Roads presented challenges for morning commuters as they navigated through flooded streets and the Dubai Police issued warnings to drivers.

Al Ain and Abu Dhabi were hit particularly hard by hail, as residents captured content holding golf ball-sized pieces of ice that had tumbled out of the sky.
Videos have emerged capturing the storm’s intensity and, naturally, residents took to social media to share footage of the rain.
