Heavy Rainfall Floods The Dubai Mall
Back in 2019, The UAE was subjected to exceptionally strong winds and heavy rainfall causing a number of traffic accidents, jams and floods on the streets. The rain water even made its way into the world’s biggest shopping centre, Dubai Mall, soaking shoppers, staff and merchandise.
Footage of the leaks and floods at the mall circulated across social media, showing inches-deep water inside some of the mall’s stores. Shops like Kate Spade were completely washed out as staff rushed to prevent their stock from getting wet.
