Welcome to 1920, Where the Roaring Twenties Meet the Dubai Skyline
Located in DIFC, this venue blends Art Deco elegance with DJ sets and a food menu bound to satisfy any taste
Let’s be honest, Dubai has never been short on places to go out. But rarely does a venue tap into the elegance of the past. 1920 bundles throwback with a flare of reinvention, complete with live jazz playing against the best views of the city skyline.
Located on the 52nd floor of ICD Brookfield Place, the rooftop bar is an experience involving live music, vinyl sets, velvet drapes and art deco chandeliers. Designed by Spanish interior architect Lázaro Rosa-Violán, the space blends glamour with modern touches, all framed by the best views of the Burj Khalifa in town.
Evenings are marked with Sunset Sessions. The live line-up rotates every night, with performances by artists like jazz-rooted drummer Giacomo, genre-blending pianist Nikolai, and Brazilian multi-instrumentalist David. Dubai-based Niki brings flamenco, jazz and Indian classical into conversation, while singer-songwriter Noush incorporates visuals and film into her sets.

The energy is taken up a notch as the night progresses. Late evenings at 1920 belong to the DJs, and the playlists come on vinyl. MELU’s soulful, funk-forward sound and LOSA’s fusion of Afro beats and electronic grooves keep the tempo up.
The menu, like the music, is thoughtful and refined. Small plates range from Bluefin tuna tataki and chilled pink prawns to wagyu sliders and a toasted lobster bun. For those after something sweeter, the iced chew bars (chocolate-coated nougat and apricot jam) or 1920’s shortbread “cigars”.

You know that feeling when the music’s just right, the conversation’s easy, and for once, no one’s checking their phone? That’s what 1920 manages to create. You’re bound to leave feeling like you’ve had a proper evening out, one that actually lives up to the view.
