Welcome To Your Elegance Era: Meet The UAE-born Furniture House Elevating Every Space

New UAE-born furniture house flaer blends European design culture with Dubai’s eye for innovation to create a culturally grounded brand that is uncompromising in its execution

When Flaer made its debut at Salone del Mobile in Milan back in April, it was with an air of quiet confidence. Less showmanship, more careful consideration. Defined by the concept of Soft Elegance, Flaer’s ethos presents a polished vision of contemporary living, through form, proportions, materials and beauty. From seating systems with soft architectural lines to sculptural tables, refined chairs and lounge pieces designed for comfort, each piece is the last word in luxury.

Born from the vision of Mr. PNC Menon, founder of Sobha Group, Flaer blends the best of East and West to create a global brand with an international outlook. With a dedicated design studio in Milan overseeing creative direction, full production takes place within Sobha Group’s in-house manufacturing ecosystem in the UAE. It’s a move that not only allows Flaer to exercise complete control of every stage of production, from engineering and fabrication to finishing and quality control, but also to source from certified European and global suppliers with fully traceable, high-quality raw materials and initiate a zero-waste strategy.

The debut collection forms a coherent design grammar rooted in the principle of Soft Elegance, whilst introducing the cultural intent that will shape the brand moving forward, says Vincenzo Vinci, Design Director of Flaer. “Sculpture is the origin of the project: an intuition that takes shape in a collection where seating systems, tables and objects become a silent language. Each piece inhabits space with measured intensity, shaping rhythm and perception through three-dimensional volumes. Matter takes stage; surfaces, textures and tactile choices define a deeply sensorial experience, expressed through both gaze and gesture.”

A convergence of precise structure and form brings a distinct balance to the Madeleine chair, while the Tita lounge chair, inspired by femininity, blends strength with softness, straight lines and gentle curves. The Glow Relax Sofa invites refined relaxation, with a design centred around versatility, comfort, textures and tailoring, and the Spira Table, with its glossy finish and tripod base, evokes the suspended energy of a graceful ballerina’s turn – light in appearance yet solid in nature. Pieces that define cosmopolitan living, and are anchored in European design sensibilities for those who live between cultures.

Following its Milan Design Week presentation, attention now turns to the Middle East, with the opening of a new dedicated manufacturing hub in Dubai Industrial City later this year, followed by Flaer’s first showroom in Dubai, as well as Milan. Its presence at Dubai Design Week in November will further root Flaer’s regional footprint whilst speaking to a global design audience. From Milan and the Middle East to the world.
