With the UAE’s National Day long weekend less than a month away we share everything you need to know about the four-day long break, including expected private sector dates.
When is the UAE’s 2024 National Day Long Weekend?
As shown on the official portal of the United Arab Emirates Government, the first break of 2024 took place in early April during the Eid al-Fitr holiday, followed by the Eid Al-Adha long weekend back in June. So, when will the final three-day weekend of the year arrive?
The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation announced an update on public holiday for the private sector on UAE’s 52nd National Day: 2nd, 3rd and 4th December will be a paid public holiday.

The UAE’s 2024 National Day Long Weekend public holiday will take place from Saturday, November 30th, 2024 through to Tuesday, December 3rd, 2024, with public sector workers returning to work on Wednesday, December 4th, 2024.
National Day will officially take place on Monday, December 2nd.
What Are The Private Sector Holiday Dates for UAE National Day?
Though the dates for the official private sector have yet to be announced, the UAE Cabinet has previously approved that private sector holiday dates would align with the public sector holidays.

This year’s theme for the UAE National Day will be Spirit of the Union.
