Taking place at the New Orleans Morial Convention Centre in New Oreals, Louisiana, Miss Universe held its 71st pageant and after much built-up anticipation (and sparkles) Harnaaz Sandhu crowned R’Bonney Gabriel of the United States as Miss Universe 2022.

Who Is Amanda Dudamel, Miss Venezuela 2022?
She was born in Mérida, Mérida
This year’s Miss Venezuela was born in Mérida, Mérida which is located in Venezuela on October 19, 1999. Aside from being raised in Mérida and Yaracuy, Amanda spent her childhood in a variety of countries such as Canada, Columbia, Chile and South Africa and is the daughter of Venezuelan former footballer – Rafael Dudamel and real estate agent Nahir Newman Torres.
She is a fashion designer
Amanda spent several years living in Rome, Italy, where she studied fashion and went on to become the owner and executive director of her own fashion brand, By Amanda Dudamel, co-founder of Reborn the Brand in addition to being the director of the social impact project Emprendiendo e Impactando.

She was Miss Venezuela 2021
The twenty-three-year-old was crowned Miss Venezuela 2021 on October 28, 2021, and is the third Miss Venezuela to actually come from the state of Mérida.
She supports and funds Un Par Por Un Sueño
Amanda has been incredibly generous throughout her life, although most notable would be her support towards the Un Par Por Un Sueño foundation. She is the Creative Director of Made in Petare which is a jewellery brand created to financially support the foundation, through sales the company contributes to helping feed more than 1000 children daily in Petare, Venezuela.
