Who Will Be The Next James Bond?
From Tom Hardy to Henry Cavill, a new social media discussion report by Esquire reveals the strongest 007 contenders for the next film…
No Time To Die has finally been released and marks Daniel Craig‘s end to a legacy like no other. After several months of anticipation, the English actor’s 15-year run playing the legendary James Bond is over — leaving all fans disheartened as we all ask ourselves “Who Will Be The Next James Bond?”
While the latest release has created quite the buzz around social media, there has been some discussion about who could fill the shoes of the next James Bond; previous actors from the franchise include Sean Connery, David Niven, George Lazenby, Roger Moore, Timothy Dalton, Pierce Brosnan, and of course, Daniel Craig.
According to Esquire UK, potential candidates include Tom Hardy, Bridgerton Star Regé-Jean Page, Henry Cavill, and more. Here Bazaar shares an insight into who could take on the Bond legacy…
Tom Hardy
One of Britain’s most puzzling celebrities, usually embodying dark characters like Bane from Batman and other cinematic roles, could be the next iconic 007 agent.
Tom Holland
The young Tom Holland who rose to stardom after taking on the role of Spiderman, now might be the youngest actor to be considered for the role of James Bond.
Henry Cavill
DC Universe’s very own Superman, Henry Cavill took on the role back in 2013, and has been a heroic sensation ever since. With his recent experience as a secret agent alongside one of the most tactical agents, Ethan Hunt (Tom Cruise), the popular English actor starred in the latest Mission Impossible film. You can say he is well-equipped to be the next 007 spy.
Henry Golding
After the successful lead role in Crazy Rich Asians, Henry Golding starred as an assassin in the film Snake-eyes. Having embraced diverse roles, the British-Malaysian actor could definitely be the perfect Asian Bond.
Regé-Jean Page
Bridgerton‘s leading actor and heartthrob could be the next James Bond, a unique and interesting choice.
Lashana Lynch
The biggest question is whether the lead role will now be played by an actress. Lashana Lynch, who recently made her appearance in ‘No Time To Die’, is being considered to take on the role, a major moment in Hollywood.
Previously, bond actors have all been from the UK, history shows that the roles have all been taken by actors who are at least 30 years of age. Would it be detrimental to the Bond franchise to diverge from these characteristics? and do these potential contenders have what it takes to become the next 007?
Stay tuned for more information.
