Actress Zooey Deschanel, better known for her starring role on the show New Girl, and Jonathan Scott from the HGTV show Property Brothers are officially engaged after four years of dating.
According to an exclusive by People Magazine, Jonathan kneeled down on one knee and popped the question while on a trip to visit his family in Scotland.
Zooey took the engagement news onto her Instagram by posting a smiling picture alongside her now fiancé where she is seen wearing a ring with multiple stones on her wedding finger. Below the picture, she added the quote, “Forever starts now!!!”
The couple met back in 2019 while filming an episode of James Corden’s Carpool Karaoke. In the hilarious episode, the newly engaged couple were also accompanied by Drew Scott, Jonathan’s twin brother and co-host on Property Brothers, as well as Zooey’s sister Emily Deschanel. That same year, Zooey and Jonathan were spotted out together multiple times, and soon after, they confirmed their romantic relationship to the world. Since then the two have been inseparable and going strong.
