For its sixth edition, Bazaar Interiors met with the judges to discuss the nominations you made and although it wasn’t an easy task, we have made the final selection of winners for each category. In case you missed it, here are the categories and here are the judges.

1. Regional furniture brand:
Klove Studio
Founded in 2005, the award-winning lighting firm explores the different facets of light. Noting inspiration from nature, Indian architecture and art, the brand creates innovative luxury lighting for the home.
2. Textile brand:
Kvadrat
Kvadrat produces high-quality textile products for architects and designers. Since its launch in 1968, the brand has collaborated with renowned international designers and artists including Danish-Icelandic artist Olafur Eliasson and Swedish-Chilean designer Anton Alvarez.

3. Collaboration:
Ellington Properties & American University of Sharjah
Dubai-based real estate development company Ellington Properties commissioned interior design students from the College of Architecture, Art and Design (CAAD) at American University of Sharjah (AUS) to create a bespoke installation entitled Hamama. Translating to ‘doves’ in Arabic, the work has been exhibited in the lobby of Belgravia II, a residential building in Jumeirah Village Circle.

4. Brand innovation:
Preciosa Lighting
With 11 locations around the world and over 600 devoted artists and craftsmen under its belt, Preciosa Lighting strives for timelessness in each of its products, whether it be an iconic chandelier or a contemporary wall sconce. The brand has worked on various projects around the world including Dubai, London and Shanghai.

5. Fashion-to-furniture brand:
Loewe
When the Spanish luxury fashion house unveiled their debut furniture collection at Milan Design Week entitled This is Home, it took the phrase “a fashionable home” to another level. Featuring ceramic lamps, cushions and other homeware pieces, the stunning collection, conceived by Jonathan Anderson, united interior design and fashion in the chicest of ways.
6. Building design:
Musée Yves Saint Laurent Marrakech
Designed by French architectural firm Studio Ko, the eponymous Marrakech-based museum is dedicated entirely to the late French fashion designer. Founders of Studio Ko, architects Olivier Marty and Karl Fournier, designed the architectural wonder to include references of Yves Saint-Laurent’s work while making use of local materials.

7. Regional interior design:
Avli by tashas
Following the launch of Tashas and Flamingo Room, Avli by tashas is designed to be reminiscent of Mediterranean courtyards. Based in DIFC in Dubai, the restaurant features elegant furnishings with a beige-white colour palette. The space has been designed by Neydine Bak and Dewald Struwig and conceptualised by Founder & Managing Director of The Tashas Group, Natasha Sideris.

8. Emerging designer:
Reform Studio
The international award-winning product design studio specialises in products made from plastex, a homemade fabric made from reused plastic bags. Since its launch, the Cairo-based lifestyle brand has focused on promoting craftsmanship to empower local communities.
9. International achievement:
Annabel Karim Kassar
French architect Annabel Karim Kassar founded her own practice in Paris in 1994. Today, she has offices in Dubai, Beirut and London too. She is mostly known for breathing new life into Beirut through the refurbishment of the city’s souks as well as for launching new venues such as Momo at the Souks with Mourad Mazouz, Strange Fruit and Balima.
