With Paris home to an array of luxury hotels, new additions to this elegantly appointed crowd need to be truly unique in order to make their mark. New boutique hotel and spa, Le Narcisse Blanc, which opened its doors at the end of 2017 does just that—offering understated grace and comfortably located amidst some of the city’s most majestic buildings in the classy 7th arrondissement.
Conveniently located between the Eiffel Tower and Les Invalides on the Left Bank, a stone throws from the banks of the Seine, the hotel is home to 37 chic yet refreshingly spacious guest rooms; including seven suites. Upon arrival, I was greeted by the hotel’s classic Haussmann-era façade and welcomed with a mesmerising floral scent especially crafted for the hotel; available in both a candle and vaporising spray.

My room featured majestic high ceilings and an expansive terrace with a breathtaking view of the City of Lights. One of the master suites even offers a fireplace — both dreamy and functional for the winter season. All rooms shine with fine details of gold foil, tastefully applied, accentuated by white floral fixtures staying true to the name, Le Narcisse Blanc.
The verdant hotel terrace
The hotel’s designers Laurent & Laurence found inspiration in 20th century ballet dancer and society girl, Cleo de Merode for both the selection of the champagne and powdered rose colour palette as well as the art adorning hallways and corridors. Such intricate details provide subtle glimpses into the mystery that surrounded Merode’s personal life.

Guests must make sure to enjoy the culinary expertise of Chef Zacchary Gaviller. One evening I thoroughly relished the squid ink infused pasta, encompassing a fiery kick—a taste greatly missed in midst of the Dubai summer heat. After days filled with meetings, I relaxed in the courtyard garden and rejuvenated at the expansive spa, featuring a pool, hydrotherapy massage jets, a sauna, hammam, a fitness centre as well as a range of spa treatments by luxury skincare brand Carita.

Le Narcisse Blanc is an enchanting hybrid of hotels—one that graciously marries the old with the new. It is complemented by discreet yet attentive service, providing the perfect oasis of calm in an otherwise vibrant city.
