Syria-born award-winning architect Philippe Daher, founder of multidisciplinary design studio Rayxander, has just revealed his most recent creations at South Border Gallery and Abroyan Factory during Beirut Art Week.  Inspired by evolution and geometry, the new products include the Sphex Bar Cabinet and the Gentlemen Valet chair.

The former (inspired by the spiritual relevance of bees and beehives) comprises a metal spine and a hexagon-shaped main body made of burl wood and glass shelves, a drawer compartment and an L-shaped tray made from mirrors and steel handles, while the latter is a versatile piece which includes a textured steel frame, burl wood and a unique feature that enables the chair to transform into a shelve unit.

The Gentleman Valet Chair is the very first product designed by Rayxander that targets the younger generation.
