Leading global luxury leader in hotel residences, AKA, announced the inauguration of its sixth New York City property, AKA Tribeca. AKA is the hospitality division of Korman Communities led by Larry and Brad Korman, consisting hotel residences and service residences in its collection.  The company has envisaged the traditional hotel into luxurious residential-inspired experience with stunning and sleek interior designed by Jennifer Post. AKA Tribeca captures the right balance of relaxed elegance and grace that tapped the famous residential interior designer who has also worked on the Kahn Korman House, the private home of Larry Korman. “For the debut of our global AKA brand in Tribeca, one of Manhattan’s most prestigious and creative neighbourhoods, we are infusing the hotel model with our core residential values and creating a vertical village for our guests,” said Larry Korman, president of AKA.“We want guests to feel like at home in the elegance and privacy of AKA Tribeca, where they can work in the on the lounge nooks, enjoy a meal at a restaurant, have a cocktail at the bar, and work out in the fitness centre.” added Larry Korman. 

The hotel residence features excellent interior designs, such as Danish designer Verner Paton’s curvy soft-grey sofa from the 1960s is framed by a modern gas fireplace that divides the lobby from the bar lounge called a.bar. Black porcelain flooring with a stripe of gold metal that runs from the lobby to the bar attracting guests to move freely through the space. Lastly, a marble bar that illuminates with a black-lit art panel featuring metal-and-glass globe lighting fixtures and burnished bronze inlay.

James Beard-award-winning Chef Andrew Carmellini’s restaurant and bar, Little Park, is a popular Tribeca staple that is open to both Tribeca guests and public. Little Part hyper-seasonal menu is about the foods origin and the specificity of everything is identified that is served for breakfast, lunch, dinner and room service. To top it all off, AKA Tribeca offers 100 spacious guestrooms with king beds and residential-style, walk-in showers and large closets. The new Platinum Collection is an assortment of super stylish guestrooms designed by AKA’s interior designer Nicholas Cardone. The rooms are customized with contemporary furnishings and luxurious Carrara marble baths with glass enclosed rain showers.
