An Alternative Iftar At Alserkal Avenue
With seven days left for Ramadan, there’s still time to check out some of Dubai’s most innovative iftars
For art and design lovers, couple an evening stroll while perusing Alserkal Avenue’s latest exhibitions with an iftar at Nadi Al Quoz. Called Nadi Nights with goodvibesmarket, over the last few weeks Alserkal’s arty venue has played host to a selection of vendors serving food from iftar until late evening. These have included Huguette and Guy, French sweet and savoury crepes and Hookeddxb, Baos and Asian-inspired sandwiches; The Shebi, Indian and Lebanese fusion; Burgeritch, offering homemade gourmet burgers; Son of Chick, featuring everything made from fried chicken; Scoop by no 57 Café, offered delicious ice cream concepts and desserts, and currently being served is Kaak Al Manara, Lebanese soul food sandwiches and Encas Sweet Escapes—enticing vegan sweets that are natural, gluten-free, dairy-free and sugar-free.
The roster of food vendors at this casual iftar has been just as creative as the art on display. If you dine on Wednesday then you can take advantage of the Alserkal Avenue Lates whereby galleries and creative concepts across the Avenue open their doors from 8 to 11pm. Guided tours take place from Nadi Al Quoz from 8:30 to 9:30pm also on Wednesday. At Nadi Al Quoz art and food forge a perfect union this Ramadan.
Mains range from Dhs30-45. No reservations are required for this casual iftar experience.
