Set in the uber-contemporary Renaissance Downtown Hotel is one of Dubai’s most romantic dining spots: Bleu Blanc by David Myers. The brainchild of LA-based celebrity chef David Myers, the restaurant has specifically been designed to transport you to Provence. Every detail of the space has been carefully curated to emanate a sense of entering what could potentially be David Myer’s countryside farmhouse in the South of France. Natural wood forms the basis of the elegantly designed space, highlighted by tasteful blue and natural-toned accents and soft lighting complemented by the glow of candle light. A live singer discreetly croons acoustic-inspired tunes at the bar, further accentuating the intimate atmosphere.
The restaurant has recently welcomed Chef Murry Lane on board to lead the restaurant’s operations. The newly appointed Head Chef has just introduced his first interpretations of Bleu Blanc’s signature menu items in the form of a tantalizing set course menu to align with the Renaissance Downtown’s Restaurant Week.
Chef Murry’s renditions of customer favorite menu items sheds light into his vision of Bleu Blanc. Each dish offers a unique journey, unusual combinations seems to be his forte. The crispy sea bass was doused in a white chocolate sauce, the melt-in-your-mouth braised ribs was paired with vanilla – combinations that we never thought possible but so expertly put together than we would wouldn’t want it any other way.The 3-course set menu features a selection of starters, mains and desserts with vegetarian and pescatarian options available to accommodate a range of dietary requirements.
A fantastic start for Chef Murry and we are certain to come back to taste his new creations as and when they hit the main menu.
