Smooth Operator: Dalia Dogmoch Soubra Shares Three Summer Smoothie Recipes With A Middle Eastern Twist

From mango orange blossom to avocado dates, here are three easy, breezy takes on the classic summer smoothie – this time with a Middle Eastern twist

Serves 2. Prep time: 5 minutes

1. Add all the listed ingredients for each smoothie, except for half the amount of the allotted water (or almond milk, if indicated) and ice cubes, into a good-quality blender.

2. Pulse until you get to a smoothie-like consistency, then gradually add water until you achieve the exact thickness that you like your summer smoothie to be.

3. Serve immediately.

Raspberry Lime and Rosewater

300g fresh raspberries

Juice of 2 limes Zest of 2 limes

2-3 tbsp pure honey

1 tbsp rose water

300ml cold water A handful of ice cubes

Avocado, Almonds and Dates

1 ripe avocado

½ banana (optional)

50g of roasted almonds

50ml date syrup or dates (adjust to preferred sweetness)

Pinch of Himalayan salt

600ml cold almond milk

A handful of ice cubes

Mango, Orange and Orange Blossom

2 small ripe mangoes

2 tbsp orange blossom

300ml orange juice

300ml cold water

Pinch of Himalayan salt

A handful of ice cubes
