In a city intent on being the biggest and best at everything, two of Dubai’s architectural marvels – the Burj Al Arab and Atlantis, The Palm have now been named as the most Instagrammable hotels in the world.
In a survey released by Dubai Tours and Ticket, which examined 80 hotels across the globe, the Burj Al Arab came out on top, appearing in over 2.5 million posts on Instagram.
The research looked into the number of hashtags and geotags that featured each hotel’s name, which was then tallied to reveal the top 10 hotels with the highest social media engagement.
With its signature sail-shaped exterior and majestic man-made island, the Burj Al Arab is an iconic landmark in Dubai’s glamorous skyline. The luxury hotel offers a plethora of magnificent photo opportunities, featuring stunning sea views and breathtaking interiors.
Another Dubai staple, Atlantis, The Palm, came in at number two on the list. Documented in approximately 673 000 posts on Instagram, this 5-star resort is known for its palatial pink building, located on the picturesque Palm Jumeirah island.
Standing as the epitome of leisure and luxury in the country, its no surprise the iconic hotels continue to take social media by storm.
Also featured on the list include the Soneva Jani island hotel in the Maldives, and the swanky Ritz Paris with 97 100 posts on Instagram.
